Spotlight From The Residency - DUROJAYIE HERU aka GYASI Durojayie Heru aka Gyasi has been a Residency Alumni since 2020. He is a songwriter, spoken word poet, rapper/emcee and producer. Gyasi is a committed and loyal member of The Residency Community. He has participated online and in-person at our flagship program 'The Summer Intensive'. Gyasi hails from the Southend of Seattle WA and is very active in the Community and the Creativity Community throughout Seattle. He is a talented performer that tells great stories while on stage. He is also very engaging and has a unique style when presenting. He is an artist that wants to bring the Seattle Creative Arts Community together and showcase the gifts to the World. Gyasi has produced and collaborated on several projects in the Creative Community throughout Seattle, which he is very proud of. He has traveled with The Residency to New Orleans and performed at the Flip Fest.
