Prog metal newcomers, Heart Through Sacrifice, announce themselves to the scene with a magical self titled debut album, released August 2019. The project is the brainchild of NZ born, London based musician, producer and creative, Doug Rimington (ex Voodoo Diamond, Hold The Dawn, The Superhelix, Emma and the Fragments and current member of Lockdown Co.), who manages to combine his musicianship with his love for storytelling and burgeoning flair for production.
Each song tells a chapter from the fantasy story, swelling with ambient synths, mixed in with heavy guitars, battering drums and soaring vocals curtesy of Corinne Cooper!
The first five tracks are out now on all digital platforms, instrumental versions are also included with each track.

Where There Was Grace / The Fallen Prey
Chapter 5 of the story finally brings all three main protagonists together, The Warrior, The Boy and finally The Beast for their first dramatic encounter! The track itself is strangely the ‘poppiest’ on the album with an upbeat mood and pace but not forgetting this is metal, it also has a super crushing final chorus
This is the last single to be released for now. The full album will be available digitally sometime in 2021. For now the limited edition Digipak is only available from the band via their facebook page.

Eyes of Gold / The Warrior
The 3rd single from the debut album amps up the pace from the previous tracks and we are now introduced to the female lead character of the story. She is graceful and powerful, beautiful and passionate. Together with her lover by her side, she travels the wastelands hunting the creatures that haunt the earth.

Born From Sin / The Beast
The 2nd single from the debut album is entitled ‘Born From Sin / The Beast’.
Heavier and darker in tone, it introduces the next major character from this fantasy story, a half human, half wraith beast, suiting of the battering double bass drums, bass and guitars and the eerie nursery rhyme embedded to unsettle the listener...
