Hearsmyth shapes lo-fi and downtempo musical influences into honest instrumentals, occasionally incorporating hints of the sole artist’s history involved with the heavier side. A drummer for years in hard rock acts, it was time to start anew in early 2020.
While forging a path around more intense music and occupying stages in the area of St. Louis, Missouri, an appreciation for the introspective approach began to develop by way of singer/songwriter and folk artists such as Iron & Wine, Nick Drake, Jose Gonzalez, Ryan Adams, and Sufjan Stevens, soon after diving even deeper into soul-enlightening escapes and atmospheric anthems that serve as the ground in which HearSmyth has been planted.
