Herkunft is a Nordic folk music project. Inspired by norse mythology and the viking age. Herkunft comes from Germany and lives in the Rhein-Main area near Frankfurt. Before Herkunft got involved in this project at the end of 2021, nothing had been done to the music for a long time. Herkunft had started several years ago with Irish folk. The instruments of his time were the Banjo, the Thin whistle and the Bodhran. The enthusiasm for medieval music, folk and especially in the field of nordic dark folk has existed for a very, very long time. Herkunft would now like to inspire you with his music and would like to take you with him on his musical journey.
