HoneyBree is the solo project of musician Bree Orfan (she/they), an independent singer & songwriter from Central, NJ.
HoneyBree released their first album in 2016, black coffee — including original works and one cover.
Unoriginals was born on April 4, 2022. The album is a double feature of live instrumental arrangements by songwriter Rebecca Sugar. HoneyBree’s first single dropped September 2023; 222 is an original composition that incorporates ethereal lyrics and hypnotic musical motifs.
The artist merges influences from multi-genre writing styles and their own professional jazz and classical training. The compositions are an articulative assortment of meditative yet demanding, musically charged melodies for listeners to jam out and be vulnerable to.
Inspired by icons such as Frank Sinatra, Amy Winehouse, Green Day, System Of A Down, Fleetwood Mac, Ella Fitzgerald, David Bowie, My Chemical Romance, Queen, George Harrison, Nirvana, Jeff Rosenstock, Mitski, Mac Miller, and more.
