Ian Pladge is an electro-pop artist bridging the analog past and digital future. He first took the stage at 17 with a school band and signed his first record deal at 21. He went on to shape the sound of Sgt.Peppers, and now performs as lead singer and keyboardist with the electro-pop group 12inch.
His first solo album, released in 2018, was a fully analog creation – recorded on a multitrack tape machine with every instrument played by hand. In contrast, his second solo album, due in 2025, is the product of a deep creative collaboration with AI tools like ChatGPT. The result is a conceptually rich, emotionally honest collection that captures the tension and beauty of human life in an age of machines.
Pladge sings in English, Spanish, and French, drawing from personal experience to create music that is reflective, danceable, and unmistakably contemporary.
