Founded in 2022, In The Distance is a French melodic metalcore band from Paris.
Through their music, the band expresses its own perpetual search for meaning in a world scarred by humanity's mistakes, greed and wickedness. With metaphorical lyrics filled with otherworldly imagery, the group explores the consequences of our transgressions on ourselves and everything around us. With their fast and heavy melodic riffs, paired with memorable choruses and harsh breakdowns, the band offers a journey of intense emotions, captivating vocals and introspective musical scenes, drawing inspiration from the melodic metalcore and melodic death metal anthems of bands such as Killswitch Engage, In Flames, Bullet For My Valentine and Soilwork, as well as bands as diverse as Machine Head, The Black Dahlia Murder, Counterparts and Dying Wish.
Their debut EP 'Downfall' is due for release in early 2025.
