Lyricist-Songwriter hoodW!nk a.k.a. InkFloyd, is a native of Cincinatti composing harmonies of soul and hiphop with sprinklings of funk and alternative rock. His earliest influence would be derived from his mother, who worked various jobs, one of which as a part-time gospel pianist. Other musical influences from the likes of James Brown, a myriad rappers, Jamiroquoi, to contemporary artists, contributes to the range of intricate blends. Born Pytell Floyd, no middle name, is still evolving a sound into a form that will grace the scene upon the release of upcoming projects. He is a member of the group HOOD, hence the name hoodW!nk, featuring hoodTronik a.k.a. Tron(known by many as a former member of the group Tanya Morgan, rapper-virtual artisan) and hoodPro, the lyricist-producer for the group. InkFloyd has been a 'pen-name' since college years. Other project include some cameo appearances followed by a mixtape/album currently under construction as of 2021.
