Josh Dillon is a songwriter and performer whose life and career have taken him from Manitoba’s lake country to Alberta in the foothills of the Rockies to multiple venues across Texas. As a Calgary native, Josh grew up in a culture that respected and revered cowboys, rodeos and country music. Josh is a rebel whose cause is traditional western values, a theme which echoes in his music and the stories that he tells.  Of his maverick personality, Josh says: “60% of people like me.  20% don’t like me.  And 20% will do anything for me.”  In his early 20s, Josh explored jobs as diverse as cabinet making, education, house framing and landscaping.  But Josh has always had a heart for music and finally resolved to devote himself to perfecting his playing skill, his voice and his song writing.  The result is what you will find if you explore this website or if you listen to Josh on Spotify performing original songs like Drinking Whisky With the Devil, Redneck Barbecue and Tobacco.
