Fly over country. The Bible Belt, the Heartland, Iowa Middle America….. they say if you don’t like the weather hang around 24 hours. That’s one of the few things that do change in rural Iowa USA. That helps in understanding the stories of small town characters & small town ways. Reed has been out on the asphalt, blacktop & gravel playing his songs for the last 25 years. His first album HIGHWAY was released in 1997. The response was overwhelming. Within a year he was touring Europe and the USA building a loyal hard ass fan base still evident in 2022. With the release of the 14 track IOWANA in 1998 it was hammer down. Constant touring, failing marriage, chemical problems….. the same old cliche bullshit saw Reed literally disappear. For FIVE years. The timing of his return was bad! Like really bad for what Reeds music he’s dubbed Heavy Western. He lowered his shoulders and pushed on like the farmhand he is. He’s still out there rollin down the road playin sings & makin’ DirtRoad Dust
