Josiah was born with a septal heart defect (truncus arteriosis) , risking his life many times in his early years. He grew up in a Christian family and music was an important part of his life. When Josiah turned six, he started piano and continued for six years, also doing drums as a side instrument for three years. When Josiah was 12 he had the passion of songwriting and in his late thirteens, he wrote his first completed song, "That's who you say that I am". To this day Josiah has written multiple songs that are going to eventually be released, and as a songwriter, his goal with his music is to give people that are going though a hard time the truth of the gospel to ultimately lead them to Christ
