Born in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1981, Derajah has a compact
but impressive catalog dating back to 2002 when he recorded
‟Righteousness Just A Flow” for singer/producer Sugar Minott.
Six years after his debut with Minott's Youthman Promotion,
Derajah partnered with venerable session guitarist Earl
'Chinna' Smith who let him join the Inna De Yard camp.
With Earl 'Chinna' Smith, Derajah co-produced ‟Who Yeah
Yah”
, a song that has become his signature.
This song won him fans in France, a country he has visited
several times to perform (Olympia, New Morning amount
others) and record with Donkey Jaw Bone, 2011 debut album,
‟Paris Is Burning”.
Derajah is inspired by his life experiences: "Everything I sing is
true. Any situation gave me to reflect on life, society, and how
to find out solutions for a better future, being a better person
with the blessings of the Most High" When you watch & listen to
