Jared Lean is a singer-songwriter from Redcliffe on the east coast of Australia. Growing up in a family of seven, his father led times of singing worship songs together. Spending a lot of time in the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu as a child also exposed the family to the raw and foreign chant-like sounds which had a big influence on Jared's concept of Story within music. Jared Lean sees Story as a foundational pillar to honest writing and seeks to incorporate multi-ethnic sounds from his travels around the world. Jared Lean describes his music as 'Australian Beach Folk' and 'Mountain Folk', acknowledging that his greatest influence has come from his father and his two older brothers. He also finds influence from Australian band Hollow Coves, which he considers refreshing, and Fleet Foxes, which he considers daring and honest. Jared Lean has a forthcoming debut album titled 'Inti Albi' which will be released in May, 2025.
