Jay Johnson is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Philadelphia, PA. Jay has been active in the indie scene since 2017, playing with his psychedelic surf rock band The Pool Boys, folk rock group Three Yards To Dover, and as a solo performer. Deeply inspired by 1960s music and flower power, Jay's musical heroes include The Beatles, The Kinks, Syd Barrett, CSNY, and the Velvet Underground.
Throughout 2021, Jay has been releasing his debut solo album, Four Quartets, as a series of four themed 4-song EPs. In Nature started the set as a collection of acoustic folk songs in March 2021. In Change followed in July, and his third EP In Transit will follow in November. Jay writes and performs all the music, and Mattie Klauser engineers and plays the drums.
