South African born Actor & Musician, Jean Henry started playing drums at the age of 12 and switched to acoustic guitar when he went to the University of Stellenbosch to go study Accounting. "I still wanted to play music, drums just weren't practical at that stage in my life so I switched to guitar and surrounded myself with people who shared the same passion". Singing came naturally but he had to put in the work to develop his range and technique, luckily he was in the right place (Stellenbosch) to develop his craft. He's an old soul and gravitates towards artists like Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones & Bruce Springsteen and more recent artists like John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr., Fink, Dave Matthews Band. Ben Howard to name a few. Afrikaans is his first language and local artists like Karen Zoid, Francois van Coke, Valiant Swart, Koos Kombuis, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Fokofpolisiekar, aKING, Zinkplaat and many more are big inspirations and evident in his approach to music.
