I played in several bands in Alabama between 1991 and 2000 before I moved out to Dallas. During that time, I started writing and recording at least 40 songs on my Tascam 4 track and never finished them. I'm finally getting around to finishing them up about 25 years later. For most of them, at least the drums and guitar were recorded, so I 've had to go in and add bass and lead guitar parts, and I've had to write the lyrics and sing them. I've tried to write words like what I would have written back then, which has been a fun challenge.
