Hip-Hop Artist | Pastor | Husband | Father |Purpose in Every Bar
Born and raised in New Iberia, Louisiana, J Garrette Sr. brings an electrifying blend of Hip-Hop, Christian Hip-Hop, and Gospel Rap to the stage — combining street-honed lyricism with a soul rooted in Christ. Once a rising star on major label radars, he gave it all up to follow Jesus and become a Pastor. Now, he returns to music with deeper purpose, leading Spirit Led Ministry and the Church-Folk movement.
His upcoming projects — the “#CHURCHFOLK” EP, “Experience” album, and “Righteous & Raw” mixtape — reflect his journey from spotlight to surrender and back, all for God’s glory. Inspired by the likes of KB, Lecrae, and nobigdyl., J Garrette delivers powerful, high-energy performances that engage the crowd and exalt the Kingdom.
