Strange Coalition is a music project by Jim Fini reflecting a wide range of influences across rock, metal, blues, folk, reggae, country, indie, and singer-songwriter traditions.
Our lives are shaped by many things—genetic wiring, preferences, habits, relationships, ideas, achievements, and failures. Throw them all into a pot with some broth, diced carrots, celery, and a little hot sauce, and you start to get the idea behind the music.
It’s the expression of many interests and the people I’ve played with, worked with, and loved. A strange coalition, if you will.
At its core, the project is about connection. Music remains one of the few things that can bridge divides and bring people together, and that spirit runs through everything I create.
