Over the years Aruda has developed a unique sound steeped in Blues, Jazz, Rock, and Soul music. In the late 80's and 90's he was frequenting clubs like Wally's Jazz Club, The Willow Jazz Club, The Middle East, The Rathskellar (The Rat) and Johnny D’s. He has played nonstop and has toured nationally and across the world. John has recorded with hundreds of artists over the years as a sideman in horn sections for many different genres of music. Aruda is a woodwind teacher at The Music Asylyum in Essex, MA and still writes and records jazz compositions with some of his friends from high school.
