Johnny is a photographic artist and singer/songwriter from Scotland who started off singing in pubs and clubs in the late 80's, usually to drunk students and middle aged housewives out on the razz! After a brief spell recording demos with a studio in Exeter, he gave up music for a while but continued to write and record at home from the late 90's onwards. "I was inspired to write my first song called 'Man of War' when Bucks Fizz won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981, and used to scribble nonsensical lyrics in old school jotters. From what I remember it was about standing up for your girlfriend against a bully and I must have seen a documentary or read something about these giant jellyfish. It was full of all sorts of metaphors I probably didn't understand." Recently he has started working with other producers to give his songs a more modern edge. He has a love of all things pop and camp disco, and believes at his age he really doesn't want to take himself too seriously.
