Joie de winter is a ceremonial singer/songwriter aswell as a voice facilitator and luna harp maker. She creates energetic ambient folk music to bring alive harmony for spirit and the earth. She is drawn to the healing power of voice and sound and nurtures singing spaces that restore singing as a tool for reconnection. She entered music through Irish folk songs, and later was pushed by a Siberian Nenet's medicine women to delve into shamanic medicine singing for the earth. After 3 years holding ceremonial singing circles ( heart song circles) she spent a year in Mexico discovering how song can bring healing. She began writing her own songs the last few years and worked up towards releasing her first produced single 'Arms of Grace'. A single on growing Album 'Ancher'. Meaning of this song is Anchor her; as in the feminine, her mother, and self into the earth. Ankh as in African symbol for union. In this time she feels the importance of grounding. Arms of grace was for her mum who passed.
