Each song began as an improvisation with no predetermined destination. It was my hope that Improv would create new notes, and form new, unexpected melodies. When you play songs you know, it's like taking the same road home, its familiar. With improvisation, it's like driving on a new unfamiliar road, and planning your destination as you go. The album required a lot of hard work and coordination. Each track was done by me, all written and recorded by one person. I would use a foot pedal to trigger the drums, then I would add the Bass loop, and then the solo over that. There was no extra dubbing. Everything recorded in one take. I believe in playing music that is true, and honest to one's self. It is my goal to play music, and sounds that nobody has ever heard before. This is the music that's in my soul.
