Listen close, lads and lassies... Every song tells a story. Some are born from memory, some from history, and some from the places where truth and lore meet. Through Stories in Songs, Juliann Rich blends indie folk with Celtic oral storytelling, inviting listeners to gather around the fire and discover a piece of themselves in every tale. An award-winning novelist and lifelong storyteller, Rich explores love, loss, resilience, hope, family, and the quiet moments that shape a life. Whether following a detective through the streets of New Orleans, standing on a windswept Highland brae, or reflecting on life's defining moments, each song unfolds as a story meant to be lived as much as heard. Drawing on her Scottish and Irish heritage, Rich writes with the heart of a novelist and the soul of a storyteller. She doesn't simply write songs—she opens a door, invites listeners inside, and reminds us that the oldest stories are often the ones we find ourselves living.
