Kaeru Oto is the new solo alias of Vijay Dilipkumar. After developing sound projects such as Acid Buda and being a member of Vijay and Duncan or Galoppen, he releases "The Suffering". A debut that deals with a feeling that is as human as it is neglected by the image society: suffering. The album is a journey through different states regarding this feeling, from the human and from the understanding of one's own -but without falling completely into the tragic-, to optimism and luminosity. At the same time, the concept of the error of wabi sabi reigns. The imperfect is beautiful. The imperfect is human. Stylistically, it is an album of varied electronica, with incorporations of piano, melancholic melodies, ambient, meditative and colourful spectres, with influences of Andy Stott, Isao Tomita and Hania Rani, as well as more agitated tracks in the vein of Nathan Fake. At times, it picks up the dark spirit of PJ Harvey and Nick Cave/Warren Ellis, or the influence of J.J. Cale in "I Miss U".
