Kay Willa here! I am a New Jersey native, musician, and composer specializing in multi-genre music. My music is inspired by Hip Hop, R&B, Classical, and Tribal/Indigenous sounds. I live to inspire. I have two beautiful and talented daughters a wonderful partner and friends and family I love very much. A major inspiration for my music is the beauty of dreadlocks--let me explain. After a major life setback, I didn't know who I was anymore, so I choose to go on a Dread Journey. I would keep my hair clean and leave it alone. "What shall we do with all this time?" I'd ask myself. Then, I remembered my first love--music. My cousin and I would make music for hours! Then I remembered the euphoria of festival and orchestra and choir practice, so I DID THAT! For hours, instead of doing my hair, I did music. Instead of worrying--MUSIC. I learned what I had to learn; I played my violin. I struck the piano keys again. I sang again. I remembered that I was a composer; I'll never forget.
