Born in Baton Rouge, LA music has always pulled at her heart strings. The music on the album “Best Kept Secret”, mostly produced by Armando Colon from 2003-2005 have been performed with her live band for several years and have received much airplay on Atlanta’s WRFG, thanks to DJ Tabone’s relentless support. Songs such as the ever-popular “Love Shampoo”, produced by Brad Lewis and Tim “Headliner” Barnwell of Arrested Development on their label Stress Free Entertainment, and “Goodbye” produced by Isaac Hayes III, have become somewhat of underground classics for her followers and faithful supporters. Since her beginnings at Hendu and Crossover Studio around 2003, Kayenne has been making her way in the music industry as an independent artist. In 2007, VIBE magazine, Creative Loafing newsweekly, and Rolling Out Magazine spotlighted Kayenne as a new artist worth watching - and listening to. In September of 2023, Kayenne released her full length house music album "Genesis" on NDATL Muzik.
