Keith David is an English/Australian self-taught musician. He plays guitar, a little mandolin (well, aren’t they all?) keyboards and vocals. Keith was born at a relatively early age, and his earliest musical memories go back to hearing Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Nat King Cole and other classic artists as well as his maternal grandfather clowning around while playing piano – much as Chico Marx did, and his maternal grandmother singing many old songs. Early influences include The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Kinks, Small Faces, Jethro Tull, Sandy Denny However, tempus fugits as they say, and Keith looks to current music from artists such as Riverside, Lunatic Soul, Porcupine Tree, The Pineapple Thief, Olafur Arnalds, Michael Lupaj and other similar contemporary musicians.
