Multi-award winner Ken ‘Chainsaw’ Lindsay is a proud Australian bush balladeer, with his own distinct style of bush ballads. His love of bush ballads was influenced by Slim Dusty.
Ken started playing guitar at age 10 and wrote his first song at 17. Ken has won four Stan Coster Memorial Bush Ballad awards, a Gidgee Coal award and was awarded Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2015 Brumby Awards. He was inducted into America’s Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame in 2011. His song “The Night I Saved John Wayne “received national and international air play. In 2022 his album “My Favourite Place” took out Album Of The Year at the Stan Coster Memorial Bush ballad Award at Bungendore. His Bush Ballad “ Paint A Picture For You” written by Kelly Dixon and Alan Mackey won Male Bush Ballad of the Year in the 2022 Brumby awards. He now performs at Country Music Festivals throughout the year.
