Biography
Kenta Igarashi was born in 2002 to a Japanese father and a Ukrainian mother, in the city
of Isesaki, Gunma Prefecture, Japan. Japanese father passed away when Kenta was
very young. When he was five years old, he and his mother moved to Kyiv, Ukraine. He
began his saxophone and piano studies at the age of seven, as well as participating in a
choir.
In 2013, Kenta entered the Kyiv Specialized Secondary Music Boarding School named
after M. Lysenko (KSSMS) and studied saxophone and clarinet under Honored Artist of
Ukraine, Professor Yuriy V. Vasylevych. He later entered the Ukrainian National
Tchaikovsky Academy of Music.
From April 2022, he transferred to the Tokyo College of Music as a special scholarship
student and graduated at the top of his class. He is currently pursuing his Master's
degree at the Tokyo College of Music under the guidance of Shiro Hatae.
Kenta has performed as a soloist with leading orchestras in Ukraine and appeared in
concerts across China,
