I'm Kotskie, and for me, music isn't just something you hear—it's something you see. I'm a synesthete, which means when I hear a melody, I see colors. A well-made tune isn't just good; it’s a beautiful, vibrant painting. That’s the whole reason I make music. I'm trying to paint what I hear. My inspiration comes from all over. You'll hear the epic, cinematic scope of Hans Zimmer crashing against the deep, hypnotic rhythms of South African legends like DJ Kent and DJ Maphorisa. I’m constantly searching for new sounds, and my taste is wild—I'll go from classical and opera one minute to deep house and R&B the next. If the melody hits right and the colors are vivid, I'm in. Born in Soshanguve, Pretoria, with my roots deep in Mafefe, Limpopo, that South African soul is the foundation of everything I do. I'm just a creative person sharing the world of color I live in.
