I was born in 1951. I grew up in the suburbs of NYC. I've worked in and around the labor movement for over 50 years helping workers organize unions, leading strikes, bargaining labor agreements, advising labor leaders, and working in government for a spell. In that same period, I got married, had two kids, got divorced, got married again and help raise two more kids with my wonderful like partner, Ann. Through it all, I've been playing acoustic guitar and writing songs. I've probably written over 100. Taken together, the songs form a kind of autobiography. Ann encouraged me to record some of my songs (mostly for our kids). I've assembled two albums - "That Road" and "Songs from the Heart" I've just put another song, "Thank You Minnesota" up on line as well. I am deeply committed as a citizen to building a multi-racial democracy in our country and doing my part as a human to make a better world. I can be reached by email at
