A few years ago I got high with some friends and one of them put on Solomun. For whatever reason, it completely rewired my brain. Before that, I listened to everything. Hip hop, R&B, classic rock, electronic. I played guitar, bass and drums growing up, but never thought I'd make dance music.
After that I started going out every weekend chasing that feeling. Calgary has a lot going for it, but I always felt the house and techno scene could hit harder. So I started making what I wanted to hear: tech house dance grooves.
LePuss started as a clothing idea inspired by King from Tekken, Puss in Boots and an orange cat that used to live with me. Somewhere along the way the clothes disappeared and the cat became a DJ. I still have a corporate day job and LePuss is what happens when that version of me clocks out. I'm learning as I go. I'm LePuss. Hope you enjoy my music.
