I’m Lieutenant V, born in the Eastern Cape and raised in Johannesburg — two places that shaped the way I hear and feel music. Growing up, I was the kid listening to everything: hip hop, deep house, jazz, gospel, soul ballads, amapiano, R&B… if it sounded good, I was locked in. Music became more than background noise for me — it became a language, a mood, a way to connect with people. I fell in love with storytelling through sound, from soulful melodies to hard drums and smooth chords. That love eventually pushed me into making my own music. I believe good music can bring people together no matter where they come from, and that’s exactly the energy I try to create every time I make a song. Whether it’s something emotional, vibey, spiritual, romantic, or just made to make you move, I’m here for real feeling and timeless sound. I’m not chasing one genre — I’m chasing good music.
