I’ve been writing lyrics for over 40 years and have a backlog of complete lyric verses that have never been put to music or recorded. I am experimenting with generating songs by loading my lyrics into a paid SUNO app with various style and tone prompts. Some results are better than others, but it has given me encouragement to use it as a feedback loop for editing lyrics and share some of the better ones with friends and now the general public. I view all of these as demos or samples of what the lyric could be. I am in no way opposed to working with co-writer composers and would love to see these efforts improved on with more original compositions and have recordings and performances of my lyrics with live musicians come from the sharing of these renderings.
