Soweto is known to be home to many world class personalities and Luyanda Makapela, musically known as LUIS, is proudly one of them. With an entirely musical family, it's no surprise that Luis has an inclined ear for music. His musical background shows gradual progress and a glimpse of a very successful future. Luis’ music is embodied in elements of Jazz, Soul, Neo-Soul & Rnb and he places great emphasis on LOVE. Luis is an OPTIMIST and that is seen through his compositions in his lyrics and catchy melodies. Luis hosted his first show at Afro-Bru in Maboneng in 2019 with his full band and featured SAMA Nominated Songstress, Ayanda Jiya. He then participated in a band battle hosted by Puisano and the Department of Arts, Sport and Culture in 2020. Though Luis did not win, he was invited to perform in 2021.
