MAYA RITCHEY is a 25 year old, queer, multidisciplinary artist. She has an incredible background in filmmaking, photography & performance art. Maya is currently living in British Columbia, CA. Ritchey recently made the decision to take an exciting dive into a new creative space....MUSIC! Her first musical release is scheduled for 07/08/22. Maya uses genres like rock, folk, and grudge to describe her sound, but says that it is likely to change. Ritchey is musically influenced by a wide range of genres and intends to showcase that within her music. Maya strives to create more stories and exposure for the queer community as well as other minorities with everything that she works on. Keep an eye out for new music by 'MAYA RITCHEY'. Maya acknowledges that her work takes place on the unceded and ancestral territories of the Syilx, Nlaka'pamux, and Secwépemc nations.
