Benjamin Adamson is a Los Angeles-based trumpeter, composer, producer, and sound engineer whose music moves through jazz, soul, chamber, punk, and electric sound.
Adamson attended Orange County High School of the Arts and studied under Reggie Andrews in a multi-school jazz band alongside future West Coast voices including Kamasi Washington, Thundercat, Ronald Bruner Jr., Ryan Porter, and Terrace Martin. He later earned his bachelor’s degree from UCLA, studying Ethnomusicology and participating in Kenny Burrell’s jazz program.
For over a decade, Benjamin has continued playing trumpet, writing music, and incorporating keys and synthesizers into his sound while working around the world as a production manager and mixing engineer for his longtime friends Kamasi Washington and the West Coast Get Down.
