Los Angeles, CA, 1995- “You must be the singer,” Pete Anderson’s [Lead guitar for Dwight Yoakam 1984-2002] photographer said, as I looked around to see if he had arrived. “No, I’m his girlfriend, he should be here soon.” This was the first of many surreal moments. I was an actor, an artist, a dancer-but not a singer, at the time. It was only 8 years later that I discovered songwriting was my passion. The words chose me, I just held the pen. So I wrote. After being nominated for "Best Blues Song" in 2008 by the Orange County Music Awards, I felt I was on the right track. A reunion with aforementioned singer/songwriter Paul Kenny, produced a number one slot in VH1's "Song of the Year" songwriting competition ending 2008. In 2009, KLOS selected 2 songs with co-writer David James and I (lead guitarist in aforementioned act), for "Should I Stay or Should I Go?". After a brief 10 year hiatus, my first EP titled "Let's Run" will arrive on all streaming platforms this Summer, 2023.
