Markus Wesen’s musical journey began in the 1990s, when mixtapes were treasures and he realized music was more than a pastime. What started as passion became a calling, leading him worldwide as a DJ, producer, and promoter. In the 2000s, Ibiza became a second home, with sets at Amnesia Ibiza, Space Ibiza, and Zoo Project Ibiza, plus shows across Europe, Asia, and South America. Festivals such as MOYN Festival, Katzensprung Festival, Wilde Möhre Festival, and Tumult im Fuchsbau continue to shape his current sound. With 60+ releases on labels incl. Global Underground, his style—“Dubtrance”—blends trippy techno and melodic house into hypnotic journeys. Difficult to categorize, his sound—self-described as “Dubtrance”—moves fluidly between trippy techno and melodic house, crafting hypnotic, evolving narratives. A regular guest at Sisyphos Berlin, he is also a longtime host at 674.fm and a lecturer at SINEE Institute.
