I am profoundly grateful to have been born and raised in the San Francisco bay area during the Seventies. It was a time of exploration, experimentation, and exposure to various music, art, and culture, " from far and beyond. The influence the bay has on my own personal music journey is expansive so I often struggle to answer the question of what genre my music could be categorized as. My mom and aunties blared Mowtown's greatest hits during our Saturday morning cleaning rituals, and Mariachi from the garage Saturday night, while "Tio Moco" (Uncle Booger) wailed his deepest grito over tequila. Being MexiRican allowed my Latin influence to include Salsa and Mariachi and my profound passion for Brazil and Brazillian Music, invoking the sweet rhythms of Bossa and Samba). Whether it's Rock, Latin, Jazz, Funk, or Soul my hope is that my music is driven by emotion and storytelling. Each track begs a unique sound. Debuting on my 50th b-day, I have many stories to tell.
