Bassist, vocalist and songwriter from Donegal, Ireland.
As a member of Donegal alternative rock outfit In Their Thousands he has toured the live & festival circuits in Ireland, the UK and Europe. The band released their debut album Acrasia in 2019, recorded at Attica Audio Recording with award-winning producer Tommy Mclaughlin.
Through the studio Marty was hired as a session bassist by studio engineer and producer Orri McBrearty for two debut albums. German duo Romies’ “Trust in the You of Now” (2020) and Dark Tropics; “Ink” (2021). The latter outfits second single Moroccan son was featured by Billboard in September 2020 as one of their 10 songs to get you through the week.
Before returning to Donegal in 2015 Marty spent five years touring extensively in the UK fuck circuit as part of folk singer-songwriter duo Winter Mountain. The pair were signed to independent label Charcoal Records in 2011 and released their debut album Winter Mountain in 2013.
