Martyn Bellamy is a British songwriter whose melodies have touched hearts since the age of five, inspired by his grandfather playing Mendelssohn’s “On Wings of Song.” Classically trained as an operatic tenor and principal choir tenor for nine years, he performed Rodgers & Hammerstein, Bernstein and Gilbert & Sullivan before teaching himself fingerstyle guitar and organ.
Every song and lyric is his own. Drawing on the emotional depth of Puccini, Mahler, McCartney, Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson, Martyn creates powerful journeys through strong melodies, rich harmonies and heartfelt storytelling.
Under his label Martyn Bellamy Music, he releases modern Country with Golden Hour Rodeo featuring the warm voice of Daisy Lynn Callahan. From the Dolly-inspired Patchwork Heart to over 300 original songs across 25 albums, his music invites listeners to feel deeply and discover new emotional places.
