Matthew Thomas Oldham is an ambient electronic artist from Adelaide, South Australia. Originally operating in the metal scene, before briefly flirting with Post-Punk, Matt shifted focus from guitar-bands to a synth-based solo project in 2023. Pulled head-first towards a more ambient, emotive, and fragile sound following a challenging year, he found a new home in the electronic scene and a way to express some deeper emotions amongst lush pads, distorted leads, wide reverbs and deep basslines. In his upcoming unannounced project, Matthew aims to carve out a haunting blend of his influences with a unique sound by fusing personal & deep lyricism, catchy hooks, droning pads, and dark spacious ambience. Floating between the genres of synth-pop, synthwave, ambient electronic, glitch and IDM. This space will be primarily used for demo's & experimentation, with a new project under a different name coming in 2026.
