Mauvefw

Fort Wayne

Based on color psychology, Mauve represents artistic ambition and originality associated with individualists and daydreamers. No wonder "Mauve" is a perfect band name to sum up their music in one word. Prioritizing bringing everyone's personal tastes into every song creates unique and intimate experiences with each member. Whether the song is about flying faces laughing at you or your bones turning into wires, you are transported into the stories and become lost in your own emotions. Formed in 2024 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the band started practicing, gigging, and marketing themselves while still being in college. The band started out as a grunge band, their first song "Limbs" inspired by wicked punk bass, distorted guitar, and sultry vocal textures (Muse, Garbage, Deftones). While still influencing their music, the band started creating other ambient, haunting, and melancholic textures that portrayed their raw emotions (Radiohead, Pink Floyd), landing them in a broad alternative genre.
