McTate is a poet, spoken-word artist, and motivational speaker. Over the pass 25 years he has had the opportunity to share his inspirational talents at such places as; The World Stage in Los Angeles, The Comedy Store, The Knitting Factory in Hollywood, UCLA, CSUN, Cal State L.A., and the list goes on. McTate is the host and founder of a monthly open mic called First Thursday's, held at the beautiful Euphrat Museum on De Anza College's campus, heading into its 11th year. As a poet and spoken-word artist, McTate shares his thoughts and feelings in hopes of being an exemplary source of inspiration.
