Beverly grew up near Indianapolis, Indiana (USA), diving deep into any music she could get her hands on. The city itself had a thriving punk scene. Grunge was emerging nationally, and the wider alternative genre was hitting its stride. Though she'd been fascinated with music since early childhood, this era gave her a push into music creation. Some of the bigger music chains in the area connected her with industrial music and some early varieties of trance, solidifying her interest in electronic writing and production. A couple decades on the US east coast gave her opportunities broaden her personal listening tastes with folk styles down in Charlotte, North Carolina, and then delve deep into dance music and DJing in the D.C. metro area. She has since made her way out to Seattle, where she's reconnecting with her earlier music roots and exploring her mind's fragmented inner workings under the artist and project name "Midnight Animals."
