Born in Daegu, South Korea, and living in France in Paris for several years, Moeun Son is a violinist, improviser, composer and arranger.
She draws inspiration from a wide variety of musical styles to offer a rich, colorful and poetic universe, with deep and touching melodies.
Her musical universe offers a unique and original fusion between classical, jazz, and traditional music, which transports us into an enchanting and personal world.
Moeun Son performs regularly on the French and Korean stage, and in jazz festivals such as "Jazz à Vian", "Daegu International Jazz Festival", "Cap-Ferret Music Festival". She has collaborated with many artists including Serge Forté, Paolo Fresu, Dominique Pifarély, Johan Renard, and the Korean group Dusky80.
In 2016, she won the Leopold Bellan Jazz Honorary Award as a duet with pianist Alexis Pivot.
