Mokes is a Progressive Folkrock band from the Lower Rhine, Germany
With their unique style the young prog. folkrock band “Mokes” has quickly made a name for itself on the Lower Rhine. In their own compositions they combine progressive folk with influences of rock, polka, and worldmusic, accompanied by a rough voice with recognition value. (...)
(...) The progressive mixture makes it possible to perform in front of interested seated audiences and danceloving revelers equally. Meanwhile, Mokes looks back on more than 100 concerts. Transboundary they play on streets, theatre stages, and festivals, inter alia as support act for the multiple award-winning bluesharp player Paul Lamb (GB). With their song “Flower Of My Mind” they were chosen to the winner of the weekly WDR2 song contest. The radio station pointed out a very high, above-average voter participation, which owes the band to their loyal fan base. The release of the second studio album is planned for 2020.
