Montezuma III Zepeda is a multi-disciplinary Indigenous musician, poet, composer, and political activist who, through their art, brings light on issues seldom spoken of. Whether speaking about their own life experience or the common threads that bind indigenous people, Montezuma gives way to a new form of thought by using a radical approach and aggressive wordplay to convey imagery and messages of indigenous struggle, psychology, happiness, and heartbreak. They are most known for speaking on controversial issues that are familiar to their listeners like global politics, racism, colonialism, classism, indigenous sovereignty, and personal experience. incorporating familiar instruments to Indigenous Mexico and mixing in early jazz samples, this was the start of a lifelong journey in expression. Since then Montezuma has been invited onto the Pow Wow circuit, ceremonies, Indigenous Fashion Shows, Hip Hop festivals, etc. Giving a lens into what it is to be Native on Stolen Land
