Moodset

Moodset is a jazz and R&B collaborative ensemble comprised of notable and award-winning musicians from Toronto. Featuring Alexa Belgrave (keys), Caleb Klager (bass), Mackenzie Read (drums), Madeleine Ertel (trumpet), and Jacqueline Teh (voice), the group is known for its soulful R&B flair combined with rhythmic grooves and luscious jazz harmonies. Moodset has performed at various locations and festivals across the GTA, including Nathan Phillips Square’s “Play the Parks”, Brampton’s World of Jazz Festival, and Jazz FM’s Live-to-Air series. The group was even awarded the TD Discovery Series Special Projects Grant for developing a unique performance concept that presented live composition. With its own individual blend of jazz-informed techniques, R&B vibes, and memorable melodies, Moodset hopes to attract and engage listeners of all genres and identities.
